Peristaltic Pumps Peristaltic pumps are designed for dosing of chemicals and viscous liquids.
The operational principle: rollers squeeze the hose walls forming an obstruction that is moving through the hose as the rollers move, at the same time section that has been previously passed, straightens up and the liquid is suctioned in the vacuum created.
The liquid will flow through the hose until the last one is not completely straitened up. At this moment the second roller starts its motion in order to prevent liquid backflow; it works by the same principle. In addition, the rollers that move with the help of a special electric motor create the suction force and outlet pump pressure as well.
The main advantage of peristaltic pumps is that the transferring liquid is in contact only with the working tube, but not with the pump parts, that ensures a long service life.
